The Ultimate 2025 Guide: How to Create a Telegram Group
· 2 min read
If you want to quickly create a Telegram group and invite bots to help with management (or simply create a group without adding bots, in which case you can skip Step 1 and complete the group setup right away), follow the steps below:
Step 1: Copy the Bot's Username
Choose the bot you want to add to your group and copy its username. For example (both of these are bots commonly used for group management, but you can choose others — or none at all):
- @ZUOLUOTV_AI_BOT
- @nmnmfunbot
Step 2: Create a Group and Add the Bot
- Open Telegram and click "New Group"
- Paste the bot's username you copied earlier and click "Next"
- Set a group name, avatar, and other basic details — and you're done!
The bot will be automatically added as a member of your new group and can help with tasks like auto-messaging or managing chat permissions.
Where to Find "New Group" on Different Platforms
Just like creating a channel, the location of the "New Group" button depends on your platform. For reference, see 2025 Guide: How to Create a Telegram Channel
